Kristen K Swanson in Leesburg Today

Loudoun Empty Bowls' own Kristen Swanson was featured in Leesburg Today on Thursday, and she mentioned us!

"     Swanson and a group of fellow artists also have started a Loudoun branch of Empty Bowls, which brings artists together to contribute to hunger relief organizations. The Loudoun group has scheduled a fundraiser benefiting local hunger relief charities for Sept. 12 at Stone Tower Winery southwest of Leesburg. For a $30 ticket, attendees get a bowl of soup served in a bowl donated by local potters, both amateur and professional.
Swanson will be holding workshops this summer to allow amateur ceramicists of all ages to make two bowls—one to keep and one to donate to the event. She’ll also be throwing undecorated bowls and inviting top Loudoun painters to contribute their own touches to the fundraiser."

Be sure to check out Kristen's work and sign up for an Empty Bowls bowl-making workshop at her website.
